3D Printed mounting system for the Gilbert Engineering Grumpy Tree. The mounts provide a frame structure behind the coro to increase strength and allow mounting to various surfaces as well as provide rigidity to the prop after it has been slit in half for shipping. The mounts are sized to fit 1/2″ EMT conduit and are designed to be zip tied to the coro. In order to construct the center horizontal EMT brace, two 1/2″ PVC T fittings can be inserted along the vertical sections of EMT using the included EMT to PVC bushings that allow the EMT to fit inside of the PVC. For ground installations 1/2″ rebar can be driven into the ground and the EMT can slide over the rebar to hold the prop in place. At a minimum the rebar should go into the ground at least 18″ and extend into the prop 18″. Guy wires or additional EMT structure like the one illustrated is highly recommended for those that experience winds. Please select whether your Grumpy Tree has the reenforcing backer plates or not. Colors may vary, typically they are white or black. If you have a specific color request for white or black please include a note indicating your preference with your order, but keep in mind that it may increase processing time for in-stock items. As with all our designs, we strive to utilize the precut zip tie hole locations for our mounts. However, these pre-made holes don’t always align perfectly for optimal mount placement, which means you may need to create additional holes in the coro to secure the mounts with zip ties.

All of our 3D printed parts use PETG filament which provides good flexibility and resistance to UV exposure when used seasonally.
