This 3D printed mounting system is designed specifically for the Gilbert Engineering Starburst 72 prop with the modular design. The brackets are secured to the coro with zip ties and sized for 1/2″ EMT conduit, which slides through the mounts to form the frame. At the center junction, a 1/2″ PVC cross is used to connect the perpendicular conduit sections, with included bushings to adapt for EMT’s slightly smaller diameter. Also at the center junction, you will need to drill the PVC and conduit to accept a 1/4″ bolt to secure the mounts in place—see below for more information. Once the conduit is in place, it is fastened to the mounts with screws, locking everything together to create a strong, rigid structure behind the prop. This setup provides excellent stability for mounting to various surfaces and is especially useful for reinforcing props that have been split for shipping. Colors may vary, although black is most common. If you have a specific color request for black or white please include a note indicating your preference with your order, but keep in mind that it may increase processing time for in-stock items. Includes the 3D printed parts only; conduit, PVC cross, screws, and zip ties are not included.

As with all our designs, we strive to utilize the precut zip tie hole locations for our mounts. However, these pre-made holes don’t always align perfectly for optimal mount placement, which means you may need to create additional holes in the coro to secure the mounts with zip ties.

All of our 3D printed parts use PETG filament which provides good flexibility and resistance to UV exposure when used seasonally.
