Inspire Light Shows takes the concept of the regular pixel Peace Stake to a new level of precision thanks to our innovative fully adjustable ball and socket mounting system. The heart of the system is the ball and socket base mount that allows each stake to be aligned with the use of our fish eye level so that it is perfectly plumb regardless of the irregularities of the ground. Once the stakes are aligned, the ball joints can be tightened down so that they don’t move. The ball and socket base mounts come in two versions, one designed to screw onto any piece of 1 x 2 lumber or PVC trim and one designed to screw onto EMT conduit. The Peace Stakes themselves are profiled to snap fit inside the ball and socket base mounts and can lay completely flat against the 1 x 2 or EMT for easy storage. The stakes can be made for either standard bullet pixels or EVO pixels, with the EVO design featuring a very slim profile and a back cover to protect and conceal the thin wiring for a very streamlined look. They are sold as a set of 5 stakes which include the ball and socket bases. The stakes, not including the bases, are approximately 9″ tall and 3/4″ wide. Includes 3D printed parts only, spacers and fish eye level sold separately. Additional required hardware listed below.

In addition to requiring pixels, the following hardware is necessary for each individual ball and socket base:

Two #6 x 1/2″ sheet metal screws
One 10-32 x 1 1/2″ (1.5″) thumb screw for tightening the ball joint. You could substitute a machine screw or hex head screw, but the thumb screw is worth it for ease of use. We recommend using this one.
One 10-32 locknut or standard nut

The two #6 x 1/2″ screws are used to attach the mounting base to either 1″ x 2″ wood / PVC trim or to EMT conduit. The thumb screw and corresponding nut are used to tighten the ball and socket joint which holds the stake in position.

3D printing parts is a slow process and we have a whole print farm running 24/7 to fulfill orders and build stock of the more popular items. If you order a product that shows “made to order” we will move it directly to the print queue where it will be printed as soon as possible. While normal processing times for most orders with made to order items is less than a week, it can fluctuate. Very large orders can also experience longer than normal processing times as well because of the high number of hours it takes to produce lots of parts.
