Lollipop Mount

$31.95

3D Printed mounting system for the Gilbert Engineering Lollipop. As of now the only size available is small, but more sizes may be added later. These mounts are similar to in design to the Poor Mans Pixel Pole mounts and provide a frame structure behind the coro to stabilize the prop. The mounts themselves are designed to be zip tied to the coro and sized to fit 1/2″ EMT conduit. They feature a hole on the top where a screw can be inserted through the mount and into the EMT to secure it in place. The set of mounts contains 3 different mounts, a base mount that has a flat base which can be inserted over rebar and secured with landscape stakes, there is also a mid span mount and a top mount. Colors may vary, typically they are white or black. If you have a specific color request for white or black please include a note indicating your preference with your order, but keep in mind that it may increase processing time for in-stock items. Includes 3D printed parts only.

For freestanding installation use 1/2″ rebar and drive the rebar into the ground. Then slide the lollipop over top of the rebar and use landscape stakes in the holes on the base mount to prevent turning. Wind can pose a challenge to secure the props. Try and utilize 3 feet or longer rebar and go at least 1.5 feet into the ground depending on soil. The deeper the rebar goes into the ground and the taller it sticks out and fits inside of the EMT, the stronger your pixel pole will stand. If you have strong winds you may need to add a stabilizing guy wire to secure the prop in addition to the rebar and landscape stakes.

As with all our designs, we strive to utilize the precut zip tie hole locations for our mounts. However, these pre-made holes don’t always align perfectly for optimal mount placement, which means you may need to create additional holes in the coro to secure the mounts with zip ties.

General instructions for attaching mounts to coro props, including zip tie hole alignment, can be found by clicking this link.

3D printing parts is a slow process and we have a whole print farm running 24/7 to fulfill orders and build stock of the more popular items. If you order a product that shows “made to order” we will move it directly to the print queue where it will be printed as soon as possible. While normal processing times for most orders with made to order items is less than a week, it can fluctuate. Very large orders can also experience longer than normal processing times as well because of the high number of hours it takes to produce lots of parts. If processing times are expected to be longer than two weeks before shipping, there will be a banner at the top of the website indicating the expected wait times. See the FAQ page for more info.

All of our 3D printed parts use PETG filament which provides good flexibility and resistance to UV exposure when used seasonally.
