Ammo Box 30 Caliber Mounting System

The Ammo Box 30 Caliber Mounting System v3 provides a quick and easy way to secure a Meanwell LRS 350 or 600 power supply along with virtually all of our controller mounts into the popular Harbor Freight 30 Caliber Ammo Boxes to make a simple electronics enclosure. The 30 caliber version consists of a lower insert with an upper mount. The power supply simply fits on its side and is held in place by the mount profile when the lid is closed. The mounting system works with all of our Meanwell LRS mounts* (sold separately), so you can mount any of the accessories such as distro boards, receiver boards, Raspberry pi’s and even full size 16 port controllers such as the Falcon F16. While you can fit a full size controller or 16 port expansion board inside the smaller 30 caliber boxes, generally speaking this size ammo box should be limited to no more than two 4 port receiver sized boards and utilize the 50 caliber boxes for the larger builds. Colors may vary, typically they are white or black. If you have a specific color request for white or black please include a note indicating your preference with your order, but keep in mind that it may increase processing time for in-stock items. * Controller mounts that attach to both sides of the power supply will need an additional spacer of approximately 4mm on the 50 caliber ammo box when used with dual power supplies because of material thickness. We make a spacer for this purpose that fits the LRS-350 and LRS-600. More info can be found by clicking here.

The latest Ammo Box version 3 mounts are fully backwards compatible with all previous generations of controller mounts. Version 3 mounts can easily be identified by observing text on the mounts as the previous generations had no text.

While the 30 caliber Ammo Box mounts have versions for both the LRS 350 and LRS 600 power supplies, room inside the box is tight when the LRS 600 is used and we do not typically recommend it’s use. As such no refunds or exchanges are allowed when purchasing the LRS 600 version.

All of our 3D printed parts use PETG filament which provides good flexibility and resistance to UV exposure when used seasonally.
