PPD GeoWreath Mount 20mm STL

This STL file set contains everything needed to 3D print the mounting system designed specifically for the 46.5″ Boscoyo Studios PPD GeoWreath. The brackets are designed to be zip-tied directly to the coro and sized for 20mm conduit, which slides through the mounts to form the frame. At the center junction, you can either use a 25mm PVC cross with the included bushings file to connect the perpendicular conduit sections, or use a 180 Degree Structural Pipe Connector from Maker Pipe. This setup provides excellent stability for mounting to various surfaces and is especially useful for reinforcing props that have been split for shipping.

The orientation shown of the PPD Wreath in these renderings is correct and matches the xLights model and the original concept from PPD. The orientation shown in the pics on the Boscoyo website is incorrect and when making the slit on the prop for shipping, they are slitting across a valley and not along the outer peaks of the prop. The result is that the slit is 11.25 degrees off from the horizontal axis of the prop where the mounts are correctly located and the outer mounts do not pass over the slit. We have designed a pair of backer plates that will reinforce the slit which adds strength and rigidity back into the prop. The file for these backer plates is included with the STL purchase.

As with all our designs, we strive to utilize the precut zip tie hole locations for our mounts. However, these pre-made holes don’t always align perfectly for optimal mount placement, and on this prop you will need to create additional holes in the coro to secure the mounts with zip ties.
