Star 46-270 Mount

This 3D printed mounting system is designed specifically for the Gilbert Engineering Star 46-270 prop. Each bracket is secured to the coro with zip ties and is available in two versions. The first is designed for 1/2″ threaded pipe and 1/2″ EMT conduit, with the vertical section utilizing 1/2″ threaded pipe, making it ideal for mounting to a mega tree topper using a floor flange. The second version is designed for 3/4″ EMT conduit throughout the frame. In both versions, the conduit slides through the mounts to form the frame, and a 3/4″ PVC cross is used at the center junction to connect the perpendicular sections, with included bushings to adapt for the selected conduit size.

Unlike our standard mounting systems, each mount is secured using a 1/4″-20 screw or bolt rather than a set screw. The conduit is drilled to allow the screw or bolt to pass completely through the mount and conduit, where it threads into an embedded nut in the bottom of the mount. The screw or bolt then continues through the coro and is secured from the front of the prop using a washer and a second 1/4″-20 nut. This creates an extremely strong connection between the mount, conduit, and prop, making it well suited for supporting the star on a mega tree topper. Colors may vary, although black is most common. If you have a specific color request for black or white please include a note indicating your preference with your order, but keep in mind that it may increase processing time for in-stock items.
