SpinReel Max 36″ STL

$15.00

3D Printed mounting system for the Gilbert Engineering SpinReel Max 36″.  These mounts are for the smaller version of the prop, if you have the full size 46″ version of the SpinReel Max there is a different mount for that version. The mounts provide a frame structure behind the coro to increase strength and allow mounting to various surfaces. The mounts are sized to fit either 1/2″ EMT conduit or 1/2″ PVC pipe and are designed to be zip tied to the coro. They feature a hole on the top where a screw can be inserted through the mount and into the EMT or PVC to secure it in place. A 1/2″ PVC cross is utilized at the center junction to connect the perpendicular sections. On these high density props EMT is recommended due to the increased weight of all the pixels. EMT also provides added rigidity since one of the EMT sections can run continuously through the PVC cross at the center of the prop with the EMT to PVC bushings file that is included with the download.

The orientation of the SpinReel Max is very critical since the mounts only will align in one direction. Pay close attention to the renderings and how there is a triangle pointed straight up and a spoke that runs perfectly straight top to bottom. In many of the similar looking orientations the spokes will be slightly offset on the vertical axis which is incorrect. Also note the orientation of the spokes and triangles at the left and right mounts. The triangles are on the lower portion and the single spokes are on the higher portion.

Note: This is a digital purchase for STL files and not a physical product.

All of our 3D printed parts use PETG filament which provides good flexibility and resistance to UV exposure when used seasonally.
