Inspired by The Killers’ 20 Years of Hot Fuss concert series at Caesars Palace, featuring their iconic debut album and the live premiere of their single Bright Lights, this sequence is a high-energy homage to both the band and their unforgettable Las Vegas roots.

I spent over 300 hours programming this sequence to bring Bright Lights to life in xLights. The sequence evokes the spirit of the desert and the glitz of the vintage Las Vegas Strip, with nods to classic marquees and even the iconic neon palm trees from the old Dunes Casino.

No detail is overlooked. The sequence incorporates visual cues from the band’s actual set design (as seen in the matrix video) as well as their live performances and brings them to life across mega trees, pixel poles, HD props, snowflakes, icicles, starbursts and more. Every beat, snare, and melody is meticulously timed, and I’ve even included a programmed confetti blast effect, a nod to The Killers’ signature live moments.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or just love putting on a jaw-dropping light show, this sequence delivers a bold, synchronized tribute to one of the greatest live acts to come out of Las Vegas.

Important render order information. The Bright Lights sequence requires a small adjustment to the render order for the Rosa Grande, Reel Deal and Click Click Boom compared to our other sequences. In this sequence the base group for each of those props, “GE Rosa Grande GRP”, “GE Reel Max GRP”, “GE CC Boom GRP” needs to be moved to the bottom of the stack for the respective submodels on that prop.
